Jack Russell Terriers come in tan& white, white with black or brown markings & tri-colour.     
Coat
 May be smooth, broken or rough. Smooth should be straight, flat hard, dense and abundant. Broken should be hard & wiry having a broken appearance, free of softness or silkiness.  
Rough should be long & hard wiry topcoat with an undercoat

History

Jack Russell Terriers were developed in the early 1800s. Their main purpose was to hunt small game, at which they are still very successful. Many people use them today in rural areas for rodent control in place of cats.

Positives

Jack Russell Terriers are a friendly, boisterous breed of dog. They make great mice and rat catchers and will let you know if someone is at the door!

Negatives

Jack Russell Terriers require regular activity and stimulation, otherwise (as with other terriers) they can become bored and thus destructive.
